Ginger Beef Stir Fry Recipe

Description: With the great flavor of ginger, this stir fry is sure to be a hit.

Yield: 4 servings


Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 lb. flank steak, cut into thin strips
  • 8 oz. corn
  • 1/4 cup sweet red pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 3 teaspoons gingeroot, minced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup edible podded peas
  • Steamed rice


Directions:

  1. In a bowl, combine sugar and cornstarch.

  2. Stir in 1 teaspoon sesame oil, soy sauce, and water.

  3. In a wok or large skillet, stir fry beef in 1 teaspoon sesame oil for 5 minutes.

  4. Add corn, peas. red pepper, ginger and garlic. Stir fry for 3 minutes.

  5. Stir in soy sauce mixture

  6. Bring to a boil and cook a few more minutes, until the sauce thickens.

  7. Serve over a bed of rice.
