Pork Stir Fry Recipe

Description: Try this recipe on family or friends. It is quick and easy to make, and destined to become a favorite of your chinese recipe collection.

Yield: 4 servings


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. pork tenderloin
  • 1 Tablespoon grated orange rind
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 large carrots, peeled, and cut diagonally
  • 2 celery stalks, cut diagonally
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts
  • steamed rice


Directions:

  1. Slice tenderloin into thin strips, set aside.

  2. Combine orange rind, orange juice, cornstarch, soy sauce, corn syrup and ground ginger.

  3. In a wok, or large skillet, heat 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil on medium heat.

  4. Add carrots and celery. Stir fry for 3 minutes.

  5. Remove vegetables, set aside.

  6. Pour second Tablespoon of vegetable oil into the wok.

  7. Add pork and stir fry for 3-4 minutes.

  8. Return vegetables to the wok.

  9. Add orange juice mixture and cashews.

  10. Cook, stirring constantly until sauce is thickened.

  11. Serve hot over a bed of rice.
