Chinese Cabbage Soup Vegetable Recipe

Description: This is a good soup to use with fresh chinese cabbage. Try it with Bok Choi, Pak Choi, or Michihili cabbage.


  • 10 cups water
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespon chives
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 lb chinese cabbage, chopped finely


  1. In a stock pot, add water, chicken stock, soy sauce, chives, salt and pepper.

  2. Bring to a boil, then turn down to simmer.

  3. In a frying pan, cook chicken in sesame oil.

  4. Remove chicken from heat, and dice. Add to the soup.

  5. Add cabbage to the soup.

  6. Continue to simmer for 1 hour or more.
